A little bit of magnesium in a teacup goes a long way
“Magnesium is the fourth most abundant mineral in your body, a necessary co-factor for hundreds of enzymes, and the most critical mineral of all for coping with stress. Stress-related diseases which run rampant through modern society, like heart attacks and high blood pressure, are often accompanied by magnesium deficiency.”

I could have talked about magnesium on my last post about vitamins, but I felt it was worthy of its own post.
Perhaps you have read or heard about the benefits of magnesium. It seems like it gets a lot of hype these days. People are talking about the value of magnesium and how many of us are deficient.
I had read about magnesium helping stress and started taking it on my own. When I visited the cardiologist’s office this summer, the nurse and the doctor confirmed that magnesium does help with managing stress as well as other things, like regulating the heart rate.
If you are thinking of taking magnesium, read a little bit about it first and also about the various forms you can take. I have been drinking a cupful of magnesium “tea” every night before bed, and it really helps me. I feel more relaxed and believe it is helping my general state of health overall.
